Finally
I think I’m finally coming out of this weird sleepy, moody feeling I’ve been in. I was exhausted from finishing a huge project, and generally not feeling awesome. I was uninspired and basically just hating on everything and everyone. Today, while still a little sleepy, I’m not hating everything. It may help that I’ve decided to take tomorrow off (and have Monday off as well) and am looking forward to a long weekend for myself.
Something I hope to work on this weekend is making a table from an old type drawer I found a few weeks ago at the antique market here in Indianapolis. I’ve got to figure out exactly how to do that, but it seems fairly easy.
Ex:
Mine isn’t quite that big or nearly this clean, but I think it could be pretty awesome. I’m not sure where it can go seeing as my new massive couch is about 4 feet off the ground now, but I’m sure I can find a place for it. If this doesn’t work out, I can always just hang it on the wall.
Now at least I will have somewhere to put all my little knick knacks and things I’ve collected that don’t have a home at the moment because my cat, Gus, would surely steal them and bat them under the couch.
I have another smaller drawer that I want to do this with:
and I want to add some sort of background color/pattern to liven it up.

Type drawer projects
Over my ice storm break, (after finally getting my car out of the ice it was stuck in) I went with my boyfriend to Midland Antique Market (Indianapolis) to look for some old type drawers for a few projects. I found exactly what I was looking for. I found a small one that will be a jewelry holder, and a large one that will become a table. They were both already painted white and I got both of them for the price of just one on ebay.
I’ll post pictures once they turn into something.
